Burlesque Hall of Fame – LAS VEGAS!

Vegas, anyone?
Come join me at the grand daddy of Burlesque festivals and pageants – the 55th Burlesque Hall of Fame (Exotic World) Reunion weekend and the 22nd annual Pageant!
The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas NV.
Thursday 5/31/12 through Sunday 6/3 – an entire weekend of performers from around the world. The only annual reunion of burlesque legends, and the grandest of all burlesque pageants to crown “The Reigning Queen of Burlesque”!
I’ll be there all weekend, running music for the Friday and Saturday shows, spinning classics and oddities for the Friday night afterparty, and performing in Gigi & Pop @ The Pool Party on Sunday afternoon!

R.I.P. Jimmy Castor

I can’t do him justice, but he’s one of my heroes and one of the most imaginative men in funk music.  Jimmy Castor coined “power to the peep-hole!” and had a song for just about every movie monster there is.  He played multiple instruments and printed comics about his super powers on his record sleeves.  He even went through his own “cheesy” disco period.  He’s responsible for favorite songs that are ridiculous as well as favorite songs that are simply bad-ass jams.

Rest in Peace JIMMY CASTOR
1940-2012
“This song don’t need violin for backup…”
Damn straight.
At Bar 4 on the 28th, I’ll be bringing my Jimmy Castor records with me.
First, check this out:
